Blxst and SiR at CSU Long Beach

The 2025 ASI Beach Bash brought the R&B artists Blxst and SiR to the Walter Pyramid at California State University Long Beach for a one-night concert event with a raucous student crowd and a ton of PCE production. We've done similar events at the Walter Pyramid before (including concerts with Swae Lee and T-Pain), so building and outfitting the Steeldeck stage for this show was no sweat.

Our lighting package for the show included Martin Mac Quantum Profile, Martin MAC Aura PXL, and Chauvet Color STRIKE M fixtures, with additional Chauvet Ovation B-2805 strip lights lining the front of the stage. PCE lighting designers ran the show via a grandMA3 light lighting console. At the far side of the arena, follow spot operators trained two Lycian M2s on the performers.

L-Acoustics Kara line array speakers served as the main PA for the event, augmented with RCF 8006-AS Dual 18" and QSC KLA12 stage side fills. Both Blxst and SiR used Shure Axient wireless mics and in-ear monitors, while PCE audio engineers relied on DiGiCo Quantum 225 (at front of house) and DiGiCo SD12 (for monitors) mixing consoles.

Blxst and SiR took advantage of PCE Backline, with Blxst securing two Pioneer CDJ-3000 units with a Pioneer DJM-S11. SiR, meanwhile, grabbed a Nord Stage 4.

Some pipe and drape helped round things out. Our team put up a 20'x40' upstage black drop, with 400' x 15' black Encore drape positioned off-stage.
