Corporate Conference at Fairmont Grand Del Mar

We've all heard of theater-in-the-round, but what about corporate conference-in-the-round? In June 2024, the PCE San Diego team put on a unique multi-day event at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, a five-star hotel. This project included both indoor and outdoor components.

Inside, the team rigged four Absen Polaris PL2.5 LED video walls around a small stage for a 360° meeting/presentation space. Additional production here included Ayrton Diablo and Martin Mac Aura PXL lighting fixtures, as well as L-Acoustics Kara line array speakers, L-Acoustics SB18 subwoofers, and L-Acoustics X12 speakers. The event speakers used Shure PSM 1000 and Shure Axient wireless microphone systems, with an audio engineer setting levels via a Yamaha CL5 mixer. Above the stage, a Litegear Auroris X and four Chauvet onAir IP Panel 2 lights provided practical illumination to highlight the on-stage action.

Outdoor production included QSC KLA12 speakers, QSC KW181 subs, a Yamaha TF3 audio console, and two Absen Polaris PL3.9 video walls. A Blackmagic ATEM 1/ME switcher delivered content to these massive screens.
