Over the course of the summer, PCE traveled up and down that state of California, producing nine major county/district fairs, from the California State Fair in Sacramento all the way down to the OC Fair in our own backyard. We did a bit of everything at these fairs, providing staging, rigging, lighting, audio, video, power, backline, and more.

Many of these fairs had complex, simultaneous needs over multiple areas/stages, keeping our crews on their toes. Take a quick video tour of all the production we did at the OC Fair:

Fair season continues in September and October with fairs in Madera, Antelope Valley, and Kern County. We love doing this kind of work, as it puts our gear in places and in front of people who wouldn't ordinarily see it. Nothing beats traveling the length and breadth of California and seeing everything this amazing state has to offer.

QSC KW122: The Versatile Workhorse Speaker

When it comes to audio, you've got a lot of options these days. However, few speakers can touch the reliability and versatility of the QSC KW122. These speakers excel in all sorts of situations: backyard parties, small concerts, trade show booths, corporate presentations/meetings, school/worship functions, you name it. You can deploy these speakers vertically, horizontally, on a stand, or rigged from trussing. The possibilities are endless, and you know you're getting a quality rental when you choose the QSC KW122.

Peavey 5150 Amps and Cabs

Originally created as a signature model for Eddie Van Halen, the Peavey 5150 guitar amplifier has become a rare, highly sought item in the music world (especially in metal circles). We've got several 5150 amps and cabs available for rent (^that's not a stock photo up there, that's our gear!). If you want to punch up your next concert, tour, or recording session with a unique, legendary tone, reach out to our backline department at 866-335-4723.

PCE Team Spotlight: Michaela MacDonald

In an effort to increase workforce engagement and retention, we recently created a new position to serve as an advocate for all of the valued part-time employees who staff our events. Enter HR specialist Michaela MacDonald! Michaela spends her days communicating with our field team to make sure they're getting jobs that fit their skills, and to learn about their future plans for themselves and their entertainment careers. Michaela helps foster employee development/advancement to make sure the PCE talent pipeline remains ready and able to handle all of the complex work that comes our way.

A recent CSUF graduate, Michaela loves meeting and learning about new people. She has spent over seven years working with people (including adults with disabilities) in various professional capacities.

Off the clock, Michaela enjoys working out and hanging with her boxer/pit mix Bentley. She also maintains a long, rewarding relationship with a high-profile "nail technician to the stars" (who we won't name) and always has something fun decorating her fingertips.

If you're part of the greater PCE family and would like to get in touch with Michaela about your own career goals, feel free to reach out to her at [email protected].
